Kathmandu: Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has objected to the Nepali Congress’s statement that they will not ally in the upcoming election.

Recalling that the Congress-led government was formed on the strength of the Maoists, he expressed dissatisfaction over the insulting remarks made by the Congress leaders.

While passing the MCC agreement from the parliament, Congress MP Dr. Milendra Rijal had given a statement targeting the Maoists.

Maoist leaders have been dissatisfied with Rijal’s remarks.

Saying that the Maoists had decided to pass the MCC in the last resort, Rijal had made a statement in the parliament in a way that would tear the Maoists apart.

The Maoists have taken the policy of forming an alliance in the upcoming local elections as well as in the federal elections.

But Congress vice-president Dhanraj Gurung expressed dissatisfaction with the alliance.

Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, and other leaders have been standing in favor of contesting the elections alone without any alliance.
